Storytelling

Storytelling Games:
• The Mechanism: The game acts as a narrative engine, prioritizing plot development, character choices, and theatrical worldbuilding over raw point collection.
• Gameplay: Players read from thick adventure books, look at illustrated cards, and make heavy moral or narrative choices that branch the plot in completely different directions. The game design focuses on creating an immersive cinematic experience where the journey and the resulting story matter far more than who technically won.
• Example Board Games: Tales of the Arabian Nights, Sleeping Gods, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, Near and Far, Stuffed Fables
