Discovery Games:
• The Mechanism: The map or key game mechanics begin hidden from the players and must be actively uncovered through play.
• Gameplay: You might send your token off the edge of a starting tile, drawing a new card or tile to reveal a dense jungle, a dangerous trap, or a lost treasure. The gameplay rewards curiosity and adaptiveness, forcing players to change their strategies on the fly as the world literally unfolds in front of them.
• Example Board Games: The 7th Continent, Tikal, Lost Ruins of Arnak, The Quest for El Dorado, Inis (the exploration variant)
