Victory Points

• The Mechanism: The ultimate metric used to track progress and determine the winner of the game. Rather than having a single “knockout” victory condition (like capturing a king), players collect points throughout the match.
• Gameplay: Points can be scored in dozens of ways: building structures, completing secret objective cards, collecting sets, or conquering land. It acts as a universal currency of success, often leading to a “point salad” where players can pursue entirely different pathways to see whose strategy yields the highest total at the end.
