Auction and Bidding

Auction and Bidding Games:
• The Mechanism: Players bid their in-game currency or resources against one another to win valuable cards, tiles, turn order, or other assets.
• Gameplay: When an item is put up for auction, players must evaluate its subjective worth. Bidding formats vary: some games use classic open-cry bidding (raising the price until only one remains), once-around bidding (you only get one chance to bid), or blind bidding (everyone reveals their hidden bid simultaneously). It is highly psychological and depends entirely on player valuation.
• Example Board Games: Modern Art, For Sale, High Society, Ra, Keyflower
